Founded in 1987 in the San Francisco Bay Area, just as computers were incorporated into Bay Area-Silicon Valley Corporations, a small group of us formed a Word Processing Service which thrived for 12 years. We later evolved and moved to the Sierra Nevada Foothills though we remain Bay Bridge Central.
By the late 1980s, most CEOs knew all too well they must keep up with technology, but at the same time were apprehensive in maneuvering the incredibly speedy (back then) computers while attempting to read a monitor at the same time. The time was ripe to begin outsourcing computer support work. Jobs were plentiful with word processing and data entry needs as most businesses were transitioning to computerized records. For us, work and referrals grew as more clients realized they had reliable help they could depend on – on an as-needed basis. Our client industries ranged from maritime containers to property management to winemaking and dentistry.

By the mid-90s, most executives found their comfort level with the new world of computers and the efficiency of email. We began to slow in word processing opportunities and logically researched new growth. Again, just in time as the internet was pounding us with information, websites and portals.
Computer support work became a perfect intro for learning HTML programming and website design. Perfect because the computer efficiency and speed were mastered – however, the programming language was the challenge. A rewarding challenge it was and still tends to be at times.
Bay Bridge's owner and general manager is also a working Fitness and Personal Trainer since 1989 – writing and publishing Health Newsletters and computer data input were a solid side-business. A Fitness and Wellness website materialized, originally designed by Global1Design in San Francisco. BayBridgeCentral.com grew quickly to include informative articles in health, fitness training, corporate wellness, workout accessories, and a few departments for internet shoppers. Bay Bridge Central staff soon began undertaking all website development tasks. The owner's two occupations in website editing and part-time fitness training became one world, Bay Bridge Central & Bay Bridge Fitness.
All this combined, for the community and for Bay Bridge, the future quickly became a passionate present.
